You\nwill:\n• Confidently apply frameworks and models to support the training and\ndevelopment of colleagues.\n• Be able to coach people at any level of the organisation\, to the standard\nof a professional management coach.\n• Develop your leadership skills by integrating non-directive\, and\nempowering\, communication approaches.\n• Have a positive impact on your organisation’s culture and performance\nby integrating coaching and mentoring into your daily interactions\nwith colleagues and clients. \nBPG Lead: Alex Firmin\, MSC Ed\, MSC Psychology \nCosts:\nTo facilitate the visits\, there will be an investment per participant of\n£600.00 (per Best Practice Group). Payments are to be made to The\nLDC during 2025 to cover participant involvement. Each member\norganisation will be required to sign an agreement with The LDC to\ncommit employees to the 2025 process. This agreement commits The\nLDC and its member organisations to work in partnership and deliver\nsome positive outcomes through our Best Practice Groups. \nShould a BPG visit be at Nissan\, this will incur an additional charge of £250.00 per person.

DESCRIPTION:  \nSeptember 19th @ 9am-5pm \nStructure Of The Day  \nLDC member organisations invite their customers or suppliers to a benchmarking visit at the Nissan plant in Sunderland.\nAn opportunity to build on existing relationships with customers and suppliers. Being together in a different environment\, observing\noperational excellence and identifying new ways of working together. The team from Nissan will share their strategy around supplier\npartnerships\, best practice methodologies and creating sustainable relationships. \nThe day visit covers a range of areas and is a building block for further research and implementation of new ideas: \n• Recruitment Centre which allows us to observe the selection\nprocess for manufacturing staff\n• Standard Operating Procedures\n• Continuous Improvement – tools & techniques\n• The Kaizen process\n• Role of the supervisor – including a visit to a supervisors zone\n• Shift Changeover \n• Approach to training – including the assessment of competency\n• Safety Dojo – an interactive training method around the 10 safety\nbehaviours at Nissan\n• The training and development infrastructure\n• Cascading of objectives\n• Audit process\n• The Cultural Journey \nThe LDC will offer this pilot experience but with the ambition to build a best practice community around customer and supplier\npartnerships. Our 1-day visits to Nissan cover a range of areas and have become a building block for further benchmarking activities\nand implementation of new improvement ideas. \nCosts:\n£295.00 per person
