SUMMARY:Best Practice Visit - Building an Intentional culture
DESCRIPTION:The event will be held in the new Waterside building which is now the home of the Business School and was only opened in September of this year – this is a state-of-the-art facility right in the centre of Durham. \nThe address of the venue is Durham University Business School\, Waterside\, Durham\, DH1 1SL. \nGraham & Mark will stay over the evening before the event at the Radisson Blu hotel\, which is a short walk across the river to the Business School. For those wishing to stay over the address is Radisson Blu\, Durham\, DH1 5TA. \n  \nIn terms of outline timings\, we will have refreshments at 9.00am and start the event at 9.30am sharp. We will finish the event at 4.30pm. \nWe will use a similar agenda format to previous events and split the day into 2 halves: \n  \n\nFor the first half of the day\, we will hear how our hosts\, with a mix of thought leadership around culture and leadership.\nFor the second half of the day\, we will use our time Reflect\, Share & Plan.\n\nReflect on your organisation’s achievements & learnings around intentional culture in 2024.\nShare your insights with the other members in the group.\nPlan your approach to building an intentional culture in 2025\, including where you may need support from the LDC or other members.\n\n\n\n  \nThis visit will offer a unique opportunity to listen to some of the leading academic minds in the field of organisational culture and leadership\, so we expect the demand for places to be high. We have a limit on overall spaces of 20\, so we will need to limit spaces initially to 3 attendees per member. \nIf you want to reserve a place on this event\, please contact Graham as soon as possible\, even if you don’t have the names of all attendees\, it would be sensible to reserve places in your company’s name. SUMMARY:FLL Development Experience
DESCRIPTION:Final presentation to line managers and sponsors. \n  \nOUR FIRST LINE LEADER DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE\nThe design and delivery of the 9-day experience is driven by our 12 best practice indicators.\n• The LDC team will support with the selection of individuals\n• We deliver the 9 days with a maximum of 8 people\n• Travelling and some overnight stays might be required\n• The cost for each participant is £1800.00 – Payment will be required 30 days in advance of the experience starting.\n• We’ll facilitate discussions with previous participants\n• We hold a briefing session for sponsors and line managers before the experience starts\n• The final day involves a team presentation to sponsors and line managers – outcomes and recommendations\n• Dates are available on the LDC website\n• On completion of the 9-day experience participants will then become members of the LDC FLL Development Community. \nKey Points of the experience:\n• The experience will meet the needs of both aspiring and existing FLL\n• There will be a minimum of 4 benchmarking visits over the 9 days\n• The LDC delivery team will hold discussions with all the participants prior to the start of each experience\n• A more detailed schedule will be made available well in advance of the experience starting\n• Evidence suggests 2 participants from the same organisation works effectively – on each experience\n• Travelling and some overnight stays will be involved
