Offering a range of new opportunities to the families who engage with The Addy.

Some important elements in this collaboration:

• Setting people up for success – offering support and resources which brings optimism, self-belief and develops new skills

• Using the outdoors and exercise to improve our health and overall wellbeing

• A range of activities which supports children, parents and the staff at The Addy

• A planned schedule of activities throughout the year – dates set out in advance

• A planning group made up of parents, staff from The Addy and LDC member organisations

• Accessibility to a range of sports

• Fundraising activities

• A Walking Club

• Support around financial wellbeing

• Exploring nature and wildlife

• Exploring job opportunities through the LDC member organisations

• Family days out e.g. Yorkshire Wildlife Park

• Caravan and camping trips

• Trips to the theatre

 

We plan to have lots of fun, but we are building for the future – resilience, ambition, new skills and hope for the future.
